Where in the world????

As you can see I made two posts and then poof!! Well, not so much as poof, I have been living my life and learning and growing. I just haven't been posting about it. I am hungry for the word of God, for instruction on what to do next, on how to live my life, how to be filled with joy in the midst of chaos etc and these are the things I wanted to blog about however.... I was watching Joseph Prince one day and he said based on scripture that anybody that misleads a person is cursed. I immediately thought, I don't want to be cursed and I admit I was a little worried about blogging about my faith and the things I've learned but..... I have realized that this is my journey and I WILL make mistakes so here is my disclaimer to all who decide to read my blog. I plead, beg and implore you to do your own research and your own bible reading before reading anything I blog and taking it as fact and I will promise you that I will do my due diligence to be scripturely sound and not blatantly mislead anybody about the word of God. The bible is the blueprint of how our lives should be, could be and will be when we follow Jesus. I am just one person. I haven't been to seminary school or had formal lessons of any kind. This is just my journey and my life lessons. I think it's important to put them out there and to be unafraid to share my faith and my growth.

Here is my due diligence.

Proverbs 28:10
Whoever leads the upright along an evil path will fall into their own trap, but the blameless will receive a good inheritance.

Deuteronomy 27:18
Cursed is anyone who leads the blind astray on the road." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!

Matthew 15:14
Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit."

I will be blogging more and I hope that something inspires you, makes you laugh or pushes you to learn more on your own about my best friend Jesus.

God Bless.

All in God's Time

Sometimes I struggle with praying to God for something, asking God for something or believing God for something and I feel myself losing patience and getting weary. Even when he has put it in my heart that it is his will.

Galatians 6:9
KJV
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
NLT
So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up.

I've recently learned a few things. First and foremost, God's way is the only way and I have to always trust that God has my best interests at heart. I believe that sometimes we need to build faith or fix something that isn't inline with God's word before he we are able to receive our promise. When I was thinking about this the other day, God reminded me of those slider puzzles I use to play with when I was a kid. I loved those things and played for hours. You would slide the pieces around  to mix them up and then you would have to move them around in a specific order to either make the image again or put the numbers or letters in order as seen in the example I showed here. When God is going to do something for you, there may be certain, people, places and things he has to align just so in order to make it happen. He may have to work on someone's heart in order have them moved to do something for you or he may have to change circumstances in order to align you so you can walk into his promise. A slider puzzle is pretty simple in comparison to what God does. His intricate plan for all of us is intertwined and woven into a beautiful faith filled piece of fabric to which no demon can take away or destroy.

Hebrews 10:36
KJV
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
NLT
Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

So I keep staying in God's word, making sure to forgive everybody who has wronged me and praising God for all the wonderful things he has done in my life, That way I can stay focused and not lose patience.

Do you know my best friend?

As the title suggests, I am asking a question of you but I'm still learning about him myself. Do you know my best friend? His name is Jesus. He died so we all could live.

This blog is pretty much my journey in learning about myself and my place in the world in relation to God and his plan for me. I try to live in the word of God as much as I can and walk every moment of every day with Jesus. Listening to him, learning from him, learning about him and leaning on him and his love for me.

I go to church, watch TBN, do bible study every morning and absorb every podcast I can find of my favorite pastors. There are many pastors that speak to me in different ways so it's like ice cream, how can I pick one favorite. All I know is that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. My ears and heart are open

I was born again when I was around 16 yrs old. I remember how I felt like it was yesterday. I was suddenly full of renewed energy and spirit. Joyful like I had never felt before but I was still a teenager and with no direction and no information about the holy spirit, I just continued down the path that I was on instead of being led down the correct one. I have made big mistakes and have taken so many wrong forks in the road its amazing I even made it here but praise the Lord, I am here.... finally.

In future posts, I will write about what I have heard and what I have seen and what I have learned along the way. This will be a personal journey and when its personal it's human and human's make mistakes. That's why God gave his only Son so that all our sins are forgiven and I can repent and rejoice and keep moving forward.

If you are still reading this, thank you for giving me your time. My hope is that if  I can introduce even one person to my best friend Jesus, it will all be worth it. Jesus wants to be your best friend too. Would you like to meet him?
